Christy Turns 25!!!

25!!! Gosh that sounds old!

Well to me at least.. no more "early twenty" labels for me. But what better way to deal with it than... A PARTY.....! A nice Oct. sunny day in So.Cal. called for a backyard BBQ.

On the Menu:

BBQ Pulled Pork

BBQ Chicken

BBQ Ribs

Baked Beans

Corn Bread

And man was it yummy! I took on the task of making my own birthday cake. Which didn't really turn out the way i wanted it to but it still looked good and tasted Delicious!

Family and Friends came and went at there own preference. We stayed busy with a horseshoe pit in the back yard and "beer pong " in the Garage. Scott has made a nifty way to hang the TV over the Bar on the back patio so we were also entertained by the UFC fights that were a Paper View event.

Welcome Diesel!

On October 11th we welcomed our new puppy Diesel into our family. He arrived safe and sound and Happy as could be from his Long trip across the United States. His Journey started in Salem Arkansas, (where him mom and dad are) Left Little Rock really early in the morning. His plane had a layover in Atlanta Georgia and then Arrived to our open and excited arms in LAX mid afternoon Saturday.

It's been a couple weeks now and Degan and Diesel are best pals. They play tug of war, and Wrestle all the time. Degan has even taught Diesel how to use the Doggy door

We look forward to many new funny moments with the Pups, and all the love dogs can bring.

Aug.9th we will be celebrating our 1 year anniversary! Wow how the time has passed by so quickly and looking back we sure have accomplished a lot. Our love has grown more and more and I know we both are so lucky to have each other!! Here is to many more years of making wonderful memories!!

Our Trip to Oregon

Our first vacation together and Sweet Home Oregon was our choice . We went to visit my parents who moved up there about a year ago. We couldn’t wait for vacation to start we left Friday night after work and landed in Portland airport just before mid night. Mom with welcome sign in hand was there to shuttle us two hours to Sweet Home.
Our week stay in Sweet Home was filled with Beautiful Green trees, lots of fresh flowing water, fresh air and who can beat the great Yard Sales (ha ha) We did find some great deals, but one of the best things was the Canoe trip we took with the great fishing story I now have. Lets just say that I “caught 2, 10 lb. trout” and Scott let them go!! It’s a great “fish story” I will be happy to tell you in person there is a lot of good animation.
We had a Wonderful time visiting with Mom and Dan in Sweet Home. We now understand why then love it so much up there. It is BEAUTIFUL!!

Working on the Backyard

Well the latest project we have been working on is our Back yard. As you can see we have purchased some new Furniture. As well as created some of our own. Together we spent time dreaming, creating and finishing our very own tiki Bar. I guess a little bit of our Grandfathers Rubbed off on us.

We are also working on the landscaping of the back yard adding some Majestic Palms to the outer edges of the yard. And Refreshing the bamboo fence covering that surrounds the patio area. Next we will be working on a small retaining wall so that we keep the dirt in the planters as we have found out in this early stage that Degan enjoys digging and thinks dirt belongs on the patio.

Eventually we will have a relaxing place to have dinner on those nice summer nights as well as a fun environment to BBQ some Ribs and have a Margarita or two.

When its all said and done everyone is invited to come over and Enjoy!
